The first thing that you will notice when you unbox your LG Optimus Slider is how sturdy and solid it is. Typically, Slider Phones can also be fragile, particularly the slider mechanism, but the LG Optimus is definitely the exception offering a well designed slider mechanism which appears very sturdy and reliable over time. Finding a protective cover for a slider phone can be very difficult but with its rugged design, we feel that the LG Optimus Slider doesn’t require one
The LG Optimus Slider is ergonomically designed whether you are holding it vertically or horizontally. When the slider is engaged and you are holding the phone horizontally, you have a wide base from which to hold the phone, making typing very effective as well as holding the phone for longer periods when viewing videos etc. This is an important design feature because with a Smart Phone, you will be using your phone to access the internet, send emails, watch movies and of course make calls, so it is very important the phone is ergonomically designed so that you don’t cause strain to your hands. The LG Optimus Slider has both a slide out QWERTY keyboard as well as a virtual keyboard to select from so you are essentially spoilt for choice. The QWERTY keyboard is fantastic and makes typing a breeze. This keyboard is particularly useful for those users who require tactile feedback. The virtual keyboard is the Swype keyboard which is one of the best virtual keyboards on the market. When you need to send a short email or look up some information online, you no longer have to start up your regular computer or laptop which is time consuming and not easily transportable.
